A party can nominate whomever they want, that is the Democratic process, I'm surprised you're that confused.

In the case of Democrats, the elites controlling the party can force the sitting President to resign & the delegates to nominate whoever they desire without any input from voters. Congrats on having no voice in your democratic process.

WASHINGTON - Former President Donald Trump said Thursday he is willing to debate Vice President Kamala Harris on Sept. 10 after all – and proposed two other debates on top of that.

The former president's campaign also put forth debate dates of Sept. 4 and Sept. 25, with details to be worked out with the Harris campaign.

"I think they'll be very revealing," Trump told reporters during a snap news conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Fla. "We'd like to do three debates."

TBH, other than being hugely TDS afflicted, I am pretty sure, given some time and a large pack of crayons and notebook paper, ClydeR would perform better than her in a debate. This isn't really praise since that bar is somewhere in the basement of the Paris sewers.
