QED: Your grasp of stock trading is pretty rudimentary. Profits aren't the end all beat all the of the ROI for a listed stock. Case in point Tesla, their profit is garbage and yet over the last ten years an initial investment in 2012 would have grown tremendously. ETFs frequently have an even better return if you've bothered to do any research.
