In both cases protesters forced their way into a government building they weren’t allowed to be.

In both cases protesters assaulted officers and sent some of them to the hospital.

In both cases the protesters were protesting against the federal government.

About the only difference is no one was shot during this insurrection.

Oh yeah the other difference is you cheered on prosecutions and said protesters deserved to be shot on Jan 6th but gosh darn it you just can’t bring yourself to do the same here.

The main differences are the number of people, like 50 vs 1000s, and the number of police who clashed with them. When they got inside they did a sit in, not trying to smash up the place and steal things. There were more police here than at the capitol building for like a 100th of the people.
