My favorite will be the number of lame excuses why Biden can't debate Trump.

And to be fair to Democrats, it would be an absolute mistake to allow Biden to debate Trump.

But Democrats also need to just own up to the fact that Joe Biden isn't mentally sharp enough to debate Trump instead of making silly excuses.

Hasn’t Biden already agreed to 3 debates? He hasn’t made one excuse to not debate him. Pelosi said Biden shouldn’t debate Trump and Biden pretty much said “nope, I’m debating him”.

He has? I saw his wife saying a few weeks ago that he would do the debates, but even Nancy Pelosi knows it would be a disaster to have Biden debate Trump. This is just getting the story out there, gauging how the public reacts and making a decision on which would result in lower polling.. a disastrous debate performance or just not doing the debates because of {insert made up reason here}

I'm not sure her "We won't dignify him with a debate" will fly as well as something to do with Covid-19 though. Or maybe climate change!? Or protesting George Floyd?!?!

From what my searching has come up with, Pelosi is the only Democrat with any sort of influence, not sure how to say it, that said Biden shouldn't debate trump, for her blah blah blah anti-trump bullshit reasons.

I haven't heard or read that anyone else thinks Biden shouldn't debate Trump.

But yeah Biden has confirmed he will debate Trump 3 times.

Something like, "I may not be as slick of a talker as my professional politician opponent, but I certainly care more about our country. Just remember that when you watch the debates." Trump is not playing the traditional expectations game. He is setting very high expectations for his own debate performance and very low expectations for Biden. Biden seems happy to let Trump set expectations in that fashion. If Biden doesn't fall asleep at the podium, he will have exceeded expectations.

How long before the Trump campaign starts talking about how experienced and talented Biden is at debating?
