So uh, apparently Trump was serious about buying Greenland and since the PM of Denmark said Greenland isn't for sale Trump was so disappointed that he has decided to postpone the upcoming meeting with the PM of Denmark.

Did Trump really think Denmark was just gonna sell Greenland to us? How much would that even cost? I think this should have been one of those times where Trump just lets it fade from the headlines and everyone was left wondering whether or not he was serious.

This is another example of Trump getting overly upset when he doesn't get his way. Did he really think he could buy Greenland? And with what money!?

The US tried to buy Greenland in the 1860's and more recently in 1946. It's not unheard of, and it is a strategic and mineral rich boon if we were to buy it. The Danes lose like 900M a year supporting it I heard? Throw a 100 Billion at them and see if they blink.

It's clearly not for sale, seems like more of a tactic to keep China away than a real offer to buy it.

Hell. Why would they want to sell to a country that accidentally contaminated their shore line with 3 nuclear missiles and a fourth went missing?

Within the last two years China has attempted to purchase an air Force Base within Greenland. They've also been able to secure mining permits within Greenland, which could give them a full Monopoly on certain minerals that we would need to purchase.
