You may be correct. If that is the case then my bad. After following his posts all these years I suppose I may have been a tad judgmental. And that's not cool.

I can unlock, lock, start, and drive my car all without taking my keys out of my pocket. Has science gone too far?

My blind 82 year old dad has this tech in his car, get with the times. The battery died in my car key, I'm unlocking old school these days. I'm like a freaking pioneer taming the wilderness. How manly is that?

Then replace it! Most transmitters have user replaceable batteries even if accessing it isn't always immediately obvious (mine requires removing the emergency key first for instance).

So Changeling.... what you just said is... you have an emergency key... in your car key?

Someone clue me in, that seems a bit backasswards.

And Thwap... why the FUCK is your blind dad driving? UGH no wonder people hate seeing old people behind the wheel!

*Excluded Asians and women unless Thwap's dad is a tranny or Asian*

I have never had a beeper button for any of my cars... it is so awkward to me when I use my boyfriend's car and he has a button thing. I try to turn the locks in the door :X
I got that job, by the way

It's a physical key in your key fob, so if the electronic key runs out of battery power or whatever you can still unlock your car.
