The government does a pretty good job at collecting taxes, it isn't perfect but it is effective. Public utilities is another, roads would be a third, and OSHA a fourth. I can admit that there certainly are a lot of things our government does screw up, and do you know why? Because we, the people, let them do it.

I think there are details subtleties within it that you wouldn't understand and I don't feel like explaining things to you any longer. And it's only called a manifesto if I turn out to be a crazy person, until then, it's a journal or blog.

Consider it charity.
Any time someone pays for anything that benefits another it's charity. It's not a "Libertarian" view, it's what the word means. With that being said, you act like charity is a bad thing. I think it's a wonderful thing, and our strong spirit of giving is one of the things that make Americans great. The issue is that it transitions from charity to theft when the government forcibly takes your property for the purpose of charity.

The blackjack comparison isn't accurate. In blackjack you are offered the chance to buy insurance immediately. ACA has enrollment periods. The gambling metaphor works though. All the people who refused to get insured are gambling that they will not have major medical issues which require immediate attention this year. If they lose that gamble we all lose. It's not responsible and it's not good citizenship.
I'm confused...how does someone else having medical bills affect you? Why are you so keen on making insurance companies rich? I'm starting to think you really don't understand how this works. You do realize that even before ACA, nobody would be refused medical care in the US, right? I'm surprised to hear you say that forcing people to line the wallets of wall street fat cats is "good citizenship".

What empirical data brought you to this conclusion?

Police (and domestic security in general), military (and defense in general), utilities, roads.
Sorry, I don't think any of these are as successful as they would be if they were privatized, with the possible exception of the military.

Life expectancy, voting and wage demographics, real GDP per capita.

Privatizing introduces a profit motive. This is without question an extremely dangerous thing to have linked to water or police.
