    I agree.

He will get as far as his Dad did though.. the establishment of the ruling elite doesn't like him because he represents an actual smaller government and that would decrease their power.

He's a republican though he does seem to spend a lot of his time in the politics folder refuting the far right posters.
The scary thing to me is that PB literally doesn't remember that I spent just as much time refuting far left posters in the previous administration. The others weren't in the politics folder then, but PB was quite prominent. I want to stress that this isn't an old joke, it's a frightening commentary on the mutability of memory.

I'm not funny enough to be satirical, and I'm not a big fan of sarcasm, although going to an all-boys high school deeply indoctrinated me with it.

I actually buy the climate change thing. That may surprise some of you at first, but then you'll think about it and say, "Yeah, that's about right."

    Which parts?

The part where man can affect the planet? Me too.

The part where in 30 years, we won't have any forests, ice caps, 50,000 species go extinct, etc? Yea, not so much.

I buy the urgency as well. Thirty years may be a bit extreme, but certainly our effect on the planet is cumulative, maybe even exponential. It does concern me that we'll eventually reach a tipping point where it's just too late, even if everyone is on board with addressing it. In the early '80's I was being taught about cfc's already creating huge holes in the ozone layer. I don't believe climate change is something Al Gore invented, like the internet, but rather that it's been known for some time and is only being used as a political tool as of late. I will give Al Gore credit for that, however.

Watched about 10 minutes of that 2003 video. Noticed that Patrick Moore showed up around minute 4 to refute the ACC warnings. Ya, that Patrick Moore. The greenpeace guy who's now shilling for the energy industry. Scary that this Penn and Teller bit resonates more with you than any amount of scholarship published.
