If you read further down that Twitter thread, people say this is actually an old video and it had nothing to do with helping the cop, but was payback for something he did. Whether or not that's true, I have no clue. Also, can't say they were in the right as they were continuing to beat on a defenseless person. Certainly glad the cop was okay, but the fact that you're championing this sort of behavior is worrisome to say the least. Violence, whether vigilante or not, shouldn't be tolerated any more than violence for any other reason.

All of that said, glad the cop was okay, but that "cop" has no clue what he's doing and probably shouldn't be a cop. There are certainly other professions he would likely be more qualified for.

We live and breath because of violence. Our very life styles are supported by violence. We wouldn't exist without violence and you can find it in most things we do. Even the simple act of eating food is violent. What you should probably say is that unnecessary violence shouldn't be condoned.
