Trump and Tragic Johnson in the House have already determined it's dead on arrival before the text of the legislation has been released, so maybe you ought to talk to them about getting in the way of immigration reform before they understand what is at stake. I understand you'd be upset about anything that drop the average asylum claim judgment from 10 years to less than 1 year, fixing the system has never been so dangerous to Republican single-topic campaigning. As for work visas.. lol. It's existing federal law to apply for a work visa or sponsorship and federal law for naturalization. Though if you're against employers being able to hire from a massive body of often skilled laborers who then pay into some payroll taxes, perhaps you should take a gander at who is slaughtering your meat, picking your fruits and vegetables, and doing quite a bit of manual labor in our country already.
I don’t know about Trump, but Mike Johnson said IF it had all that nonsense I mentioned; yes it would be dead on arrival in the House. Are Democrats willing to pass a good policy immigration bill & end political asylum status claims without foreign aid and a bunch of other stuff? Are they willing to deport those here illegally that Biden let in for the past 4 years? If yes, I personally say sure the Republicans should work to pass a bipartisan bill now while the Dems have finally come to their senses. We both know it won’t be a clean bill though. This is just Democrat PR spin trying to shift the blame politically for their own failure to enforce our existing laws.
On the work visas part… First off, your examples given of picking crops and slaughtering meat is unskilled labor. Educate yourself on the difference between skilled and unskilled labor. Second, you are essentially admitting to being a proponent of modern slavery / serfdom. You’ll tolerate their illegal alien underclass status as long as they will do all the manual labor jobs that nobody else wants to for dirt cheap wages & so long as they pay taxes. That is immoral.

You're using a hypothetical to justify a small conservative Republican party heeding Trump's call to block reform legislation to preserve a campaign issue, that's fucking dumb. "We won't pass new immigration law because it won't be enforced" is the dumbest excuse for political expediency I've ever heard.
That you double down on your stupidity by claiming workers paid market wages as modern slavery is worse. Everyone but your 1% trust fund babies work for a living, what you equate that to indentured servitude is retarded.
