It seems like most of the cat callers are minorities. So, the war on minorities!

A few years ago a man leaned out of his car window to holler at my wife and then crashed into a parked Mercedes.
I get hollered at walking down the street in NYC, but it's either 1) racist anti-Muslim stuff, or 2) Muslims/Hindus asking for directions.
I do have female friends who say being a single woman on the street of NYC is an intensely negative experience, moreso than any place else. I don't think this would happen even in places that are considered near as metropolitan in the U.S. In NYC, people have stopped caring about other people's personal space, in general.

Seriously? Ugh
NPR beat you to the playing of the race card. The maker of the video has since apologized that there were fewer white men and their catcalls when they did happen were quieter and less obvious.

As a white male myself I want to apologize to all my homeys out there, I'll try to be less respectful towards random sidewalk women in the future so you don't feel singled out for your behavior.Bliss wrote "We got a fair amount of white guys, but for whatever reason, a lot of what they said was in passing, or off camera." That's why Bliss said he had to edit them out.

Both my girlfriend and my sister say that this is much worse in New York than any other major city. Each headphoned it up through most of their internships.
