I worked in the games industry. Taking 7 years to develop a game, without cancelling it takes balls. Then the game launching and recouping all of its marketing and development costs with just the pre-orders...that is crazy. Can't imagine what they spent in 7 years of development costs and marketing is hugely expensive too. I guess it must have been upwards of 200mil. I'm just jumping in, maybe someone already posted the numbers.
It wasn't the entire focus of the dev team for 7 years, they were also working on Witcher 3, plus got several million in grants from the Polish government.
It seems like it did really well, at least on PC. Most of my friends list picked it up. Never seen another game do that to this extent.

You had better pay your guild dues before you forget. You are 113 months behind.
Waiting on Witcher 4. It should absolutely positively blow us all away if Cyberpunk is anything to show for.
Also, created exact Ciri look a like with Pube 3 setting.
Patch 1.04 got things to run a little smoother.
The Meredith Stout hookup was wildly unexpected.
CPR put out a statement saying they are sorry about how shit the game is on last gen consoles and they are going to put out patches to make it better, but you should never expect PC or new gen console graphics. They are offering refunds up to Dec 21st.
