  1. Default Terms of Service Document

    Purpose:

The purpose of this written document is to establish a fair a principled system of discussion amongst members of this community and to outline the roles and responsibilities of those who partake in it.

The Structure of the Players’ Corner:

The staff of the Players’ Corner consists of those who moderate individual forums (referred to as a Moderator), those who moderate forums on a global level (referred to as a Super Moderator), and those whose responsibility it is to maintain the integrity of this document as it applies to the Players’ Corner (referred to as an Administrator).

The role of the Moderator is to guide discussions within his or her respective forum. Since not all forums contain the same theme or subject matter, the Moderator is necessary in order to focus on the needs of a particular forum and direct it towards its best interest as established by its theme and subject. This requires that the Moderator have the ability to institute certain forum specific guidelines on how discussion is to take place. The Moderator may at his or her discretion enforce the rules of this document within his or her folder; however, that task ultimately lies with the Super Moderator and the Administrator.

The Super Moderator is an extension of the Moderator. On top of working together with all Moderators of the Players’ Corner, the Super Moderator is in charge of ensuring that the rules set forth by this document are being enforced throughout the Players’ Corner, and that all discussions taking place reflect the theme and intent of the forum and the topic of the thread.

The Administrator has the sole duty of authoring and interpreting this document as well as ensuring the stability of the forums. To do this, the Administrator is given the ability to deny access to the Players’ Corner to individuals who attempt to jeopardize the integrity of the forums, to have full control over the content made available on the forums, to make changes, both technical and regulative to the forums, and to derive from this document any necessary rules and guidelines.

The aforementioned body, known hereafter as the “Staff” of the Players’ Corner, shall continually work together to further and improve the Players’ Corner.

    Membership Rules:

By viewing or posting on this forum, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to follow the limitations set forth within this document. As such, you are expected to follow the rules set forth within this document and in subsequent changes to this document which will be made known as they occur.

You understand that all data, graphics, information, messages, photographs, text or other material (hereinafter "Content&quot which may be publicly viewed are the sole responsibility of the person from which such Content originated. Likewise, as a member you are responsible for all Content which you make publicly viewable via the Players’ Corner. Content is neither controlled nor pre-screened by the Staff and by viewing or posting Content within the Players’ Corner, you agree to not hold the Staff responsible for any objectionable material you might encounter. The Staff, and in particular the Administrator will attempt to contain such Content, but such control can not be guaranteed at all times.

By using the Players’ Corner, you agree not to:

    (a) harm a minor in any way.

    (b) intentionally impersonate any person or entity, including, but not limited to, an official member of Simutronic's staff, a member of the Players’ Corner, misrepresent yourself as a Staff member of the Players’ Corner, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person, group, or entity.

    (c) intentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law within your district, the United States and Canada.

    (d) upload, post, hyperlink, or otherwise transmit Content that is invasive of one's privacy, libelous, obscene, personally threatening, tortuous, or ethnically, racially, or sexually objectionable.

    (e) upload, post, or otherwise transmit Content that you do not have the right to transmit under any law or contractual or fiduciary relationships.

    (f) upload, post or otherwise transmit any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam", "chain letters", "pyramid schemes", or any other form of solicitation, except where specifically noted.

The Administrator may, at his or her sole discretion and at any time, discontinue any and/or all services, with or without notice. You agree that any termination of your access to the Players’ Corner under any provision of these Terms of Service may be affected without prior notice, and you acknowledge and agree that the Administrator may immediately remove all Content or terminate access to the Players’ Corner. Finally, you agree that the Players’ Corner and its Staff shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination of your access to the Players’ Corner and its services.

I for one would like to see some of these actually enforced. On the politics forum we have people flouting that they engage in domestic violence. Where are the admins?

What rule is broken by stating that one engages in domestic violence?

I BEAT MY WIFE EVERY DAY.

Read the part about harming a minor. By stating that you have committed felonious acts and making light of those acts, a case could be made that you are harming minors.

You think this is a joking matter?

Seriously, you obviously know nothing about marriage. And where are you from, West Virginia? You see someone claiming they are married, you instantly think their wife is a minor?

    Here's some free advice:

If you don't beat your wife on a regular and consistent basis, they start to think they are human beings with rights.. and once you go down that road, then all hell breaks loose. They will start demanding food THREE times a day, they will tell you NO when you want to have sex and then they will eventually not let you vote for them on Election Day. THEN WE WILL HAVE ANARCHY!
