The FA Cup final was one of the worst officiated matches I've ever seen. 4 missed penalty shot calls for Arsenal (FOUR!!!), the second Hull goal came with a missed offsides call, the second Arsenal goal came with a missed goal/corner call. Simply atrocious all the way around.
The announcers on Fox were even worse. At first I thought they'd never seen Arsenal (Venger? Geerude? Bacari Rum Sagna? Holy shit, Arsenal prefers a slow build-up in possession?), as the match progressed I thought they'd never seen soccer (repeatedly accusing Cazorla of diving when he is 5 foot negative 2 inches tall, offering genuine analysis based on the speed the sides emerged onto the field after half time), by the end I thought they'd never even heard of it. Where did Fox find these guys?
And Arsenal won anyway, thanks to superior fitness and superior bench depth. That's right. Arsenal fitness and bench depth carried the day. Everyone can just suck it.
