Thread: Honest Testimony Law?

    Question Honest Testimony Law?

As Bill Clinton learned, when you testify under oath, you're supposed to tell the truth, irregardless of the consequences. Now some members of Congress want to take away the consequences for telling the truth.

A Democrat congressman from Florida wrote a bill that would say homosexual soldiers who testify at the upcoming, but not quite yet scheduled, hearings on "Don't Ask Don't Tell" would be exempt from being kicked out of the army because they made their statements before Congress. That makes no sense.

Think about it. If normal soldiers know that there is a homosexual soldier, then that ruins morale and unit cohesion. It would make no difference if they learned about it from watching C-Span or from hearing it in rumors.

If we're going to have hearings, then we should not have any homosexual soldiers testifying.
There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.

Back under your bridge ignorant bigot troll.

Not having homosexual soldiers testifying at hearings about homosexual soldiers would be about as idiotic as having Democrats discuss the merits of balanced budgets.
