Most folks on the boards are pretty much in agreement that this seems like a bum deal given the fact that there are so few rangers with Animal Companion, and that only a small percentage of people could even use this service.

I tend to agree. Now, if this was an AC enchanter/weighter (read: make your companions more powerful) Then I could understand it costing so much ($50+) to go to an event and have it done. But an alterer seems like something that everyone with a companion should have the chance at.

Any thoughts?

Hmm...I may have to post that AC enchanter/weighter idea on the official boards.
