Leftist whiners "Fight the man, fuck big pharma, drugs should be cheap."

Also Leftist whiners: "Legalize and tax drugs."

Like if drugs were legalized, they wouldn't be controlled under the FDA, taxed a lot and then drug companies/tobacco companies wouldn't squash any competition and control the market or something. Only good side, maybe less fentanyl deaths. It's not like you would be able to go get your bag of weed and smoke all you want whenever, there would be limits, prescriptions, dr visit charges, taxes and registrations and so on. Never mind that insurance won't pay for it.

Or, we could stop glamorizing drugs, take the tobacco buyout tax money and actually spend it on anti-drug campaigns (Just Say No worked pretty well) and we can work on rehab efforts. Also, maybe work to stop the real dangers of shitbags behind the wheel and enticing kids. OH, and I am for repealing the 3 strikes law enacted under Clinton. Hell, ditch a lot of prison time for a lot of things, go back to flogging/caning and so on, simple, fast, done, even pay for therapy and full medical care afterwards but I damn sure bet you get 10 lashes for shoplifting that you will think twice about it.

Also, stop making excuses, emotionally grow up and learn to deal with life without having to get high to escape the fact you are a basement dwelling failure of a human being living with your parents.

I agree we should legalize all drugs. I don't agree we plow money into rehab for drug addicts. I have an addict in my family, she won't get help. You know who gets help? People who want it.

I 110% agree with this. I would like to see it more available and to put and end to the legal scamming that goes on with rehab. For example, one I have seen quite a lot, person goes into rehab, they have to take a drug test every day. No worries, they have insurance, drug tests are pretty affordable right, insurance pays for the rehab facility and so on, covers the drug test. Well, yes, they do, rehab facility has an agreement with FuckYou labs that is out of network since they don't take ANY insurance and so they charge as much as $5000 a day for the drug testing. Insurance pays a healthy amount based on in network costs, then the lab comes after the recovering addict with massive bills. They "kindly" offer, here's the second part of the scam, to take a lesser payment and generously write off the rest of the bill. Keep in mind that they got paid fair market value for the test already. Also keep in mind that the same test, over the counter from Walmart is like $80 or something and about as accurate. same shit happens for the drug testing for people on pain management.

State requires drug testing for these things under the guise of "fighting the opioid epidemic" then they need to see the other side of the coin on scamming health care providers.

Also, remove all restrictions that limit how many of a particular health care provider can operate in a particular area and let the free market sort it out. Keep all other code and licensing restrictions.

I'm not saying dumping money into rehab is a great idea sure to fix stuff. I just think that dumping money into locking up addicts for possession or consumption is counter-productive and if I were to divert that expenditure anywhere it'd be into rehab or other programs intended to help rather than harm the addict.

You're literally describing our entire healthcare system, not just rehab.

Doctor needs to read an x-ray? Guess what. You're stuck with the bill for a doctor you've never met/seen.

Lab gets sent out of network? You're on the hook. Medicare handles it as plan directed care, but private insurance? Depending on your plan that's ok you.

It's in severe need of an overhaul - yet everyone is stuck on "that's socialism" "I like my plan" blah blah blah

So, you believe people should be able to snort cocaine, smoke crack, do meth, etc...?

You believe crime is bad now.. wait until we legalize everything.. and watch the country burn.

Wasn't this just overhauled in 2009? Obamacare? "Affordable Care Act"?

    Absolutely

I'm not advocating less policing. I consider drugs in line with alcohol.

    I do not.

I believe recreational drugs like marijuana should be legalized, taxed and regulated.. but I disagree with drugs like heroin, cocaine, meth, etc...
