Doing alright here in Baton Rouge. It's bad in the southeast portion of the state though.

I have a good friend who lives in Belle Chasse who stayed through the storm. Power went out at 9am Sunday and he just got cell service and let us know he's ok.

Power looks like it'll be out for weeks in the whole area around NOLA

I’m ok over here. Fence got a little messed up from a tree falling on it but it’s pretty minor, just bent the gate some.

Power’s probably gonna be out for at least couple days, but I have a generator going so I still have AC and internet and a running fridge.

Everything around me is a disaster but the specific spot I’m in seems to always take little to no damage, even during that crazy flood in 2016, even if everything else on all sides looks like the apocalypse.

Clearly the weather knows I have a level 100 Wizard and keeps the elements in check.

I heard this hurricane is going to raise gas prices.

On Sunday, the federal Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement reported that 95.65% of oil production in the Gulf of Mexico had been temporarily closed down, as well as 93.75% of natural gas production.

Those are eye-popping percentages. But the key question for oil markets is whether any of the infrastructure was damaged. If not, Gulf producers could restart drilling and pumping in a matter of days. However, if equipment was broken by the storms, they could remain offline much longer.

Despite the substantial disruption to oil production and refining, most analysts anticipate a relatively limited impact to the market as a whole.

That's not the same as no impact: Gasoline prices have already risen by several cents a gallon, and storm-influenced price fluctuations could continue for a few weeks. And gas prices were high this summer to begin with. But it's a far cry from the intense, prolonged disruption that Hurricane Katrina memorably caused.

I recommend keeping your tank above 3/4 full for the time being.

Glad you made it out safe and sound. I have a big generator for emergencies like that but have thankfully never needed it.
