I don't think this is just about the Benjamins. Perdue and Loeffler have been trying to print money with her seat. Appears to be a lot of sketchy deals surrounding their knowledge of the COVID pandemic.

Not to mention the House votes on their own pay raise, I'd be interested to know if their pay raise has ever failed to pass.

You're right.. it's not JUST about the money, but that's a large part of it. People got $600 and if they give Senate control to the Dems, they will get $1400 more "free" money.

We're not just looking at a precursor for tomorrow, we're looking at at precursor for the next few elections. There is nothing that the GOP won't destroy to stay in power. They've gone from voter suppression to straight up coup. Particularly if they win either or both of the Senate seats, it will be read as a reward for their behavior.

It's been a race to the bottom for the last 10 years. And they are laps ahead of the Dems, who can't decide if they want to participate in the race in hopes of acquiring power or if they want to stay the responsible adults in the room and fight for the foundations of our free society.
