The country didn't lock down, what part of reality is hard to understand? The country could have collectively had 90% or higher compliance with masking, distancing and quarantine and a lockdown wouldn't have been necessary. Instead, Democrat centers locked down and saw an immediate reduction in infection.. Until tourism and residual pockets of infection from noncompliance has resulted in wave 2. Now we're at a crossroads, lock down for a short time or let the assholes on the right continue to scream about resisting and protecting their rights to not mask up continue to drive a third of the country to continue passing their infection to each other and spreading it enmasse

Where I live we've been in some form of lockdown and restrictions from the start. The biggest thing I see is that people don't care about it as much as the loud mouths want them to and they'll probably care less the longer this thing gets dragged out. Normal every day people for the most part don't care about Covid they just want to live their lives. So they continue to visit friends and family, have bbqs and other social gatherings and don't follow any of the guidelines. They all mask up in stores and public places, just not at their homes or other peoples homes.
