Anyone who has every looked at county maps anywhere knows gerrymandering is potentially an issue for everyone. It'd be good to address it such that it was apolitical, but we all know that will never happen.

They should just take every state, put evenly space vertical and horizontal lines across it, and call it a day. Some districts will be tiny because the the weird shapes of states, but oh well.
Can't blame anything on gerrymandering anymore.

The supreme court isn't about to tell states how they can and cannot choose their own representatives. Unless of course a Democrat gets in office and packs the supreme court like they want to.
People make too big of a deal about gerrymandering and the current process. What is the solution? Have a committee draw up districts like some states have? Because surely a committee that isn't elected can't possibly be more corrupt than elected officials.
Have a system similar to other countries where each party gets proportional seats depending on what percent of the vote they get? I don't like that system because you're voting on parties rather than individuals. Right now someone can get elected as a Democrat but still have some conservative ideas, because they understand the district they are coming from and what the people want. The other system would just have another "yes man" in office that toes the party line.
