An article from the woman who broke the new Kavanaugh accuser story. As the title suggests, research shows that the Russians managed to swing this thing.
How Russia Helped Swing the Election for Trump
A meticulous analysis of online activity during the 2016 campaign makes a powerful case that targeted cyberattacks by hackers and trolls were decisive.
Jamieson said that, as an academic, she hoped that the public would challenge her arguments. Yet she expressed confidence that unbiased readers would accept her conclusion that it is not just plausible that Russia changed the outcome of the 2016 election—it is “likely that it did.”
An airtight case, she acknowledges, may never be possible. In the introduction to her new book, she writes that any case for influence will likely be similar to that in a civil legal trial, “in which the verdict is rendered not with the certainty that e=mc2 but rather based on the preponderance of evidence.” But, she points out, “we do make most of life’s decisions based on less-than-rock-solid, incontrovertible evidence.” In Philadelphia, she noted to me that “we convict people on probabilities rather than absolute certainty, and we’ve executed people based on inferences from available evidence.” She argued that “the standard of proof being demanded” by people claiming it’s impossible to know whether Russia delivered the White House to Trump is “substantially higher than the standard of proof we ordinarily use in our lives.”
The bad news is that Stephen Miller is trumps main man now and he wrote this speech. Good news is that World leaders laughed at him and trump handled it well. The way he laughed it off humanizes him and he's needs more of that. More ability to laugh at himself, to be humble, to accept advice even from people who disagree. Knowing trump as we've known him, he'll handle it decently in public, then from the privacy of the residence will blow up like he did after leaving the G7.World leaders laughed Tuesday after President Donald Trump said in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly that his administration had accomplished more than any other in American history.
"In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country," Trump said near the start of a speech before the assembled world leaders, prompting audible laughter.
"It's so true," Trump continued, before acknowledging the laughter.
"I didn't expect that reaction, but that's okay," he said, smirking and raising his eyebrows.
The unintentional humor aside his speech was chilling. We're talking about sovereignty and patriotism as a doctrine as if those are two things that have been missing from the USA. It's the kind of thing I thought we left behind by the middle of the last century.
In another part of the speech he praises Poland for the way they protect their sovereignty. Does everyone realize that sovereignty is a buzzword for anti American shit? Who in their right mind could argue with a straight face that the USA is facing a crisis of sovereignty.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...ral-democracy/"In Poland,” he said, “a great people are standing up for their independence, their security and their sovereignty."
This is an interesting way for a U.S. president to frame the changes in Poland’s politics. Another way those changes might be framed is as a slide toward autocracy.

Look at this absolute joke of an unbiased "news" source:

Holy shit! Trump saying the US will declare war on Iran after we re-impose sanctions? This is serious! Surely the BBC would make sure they got this right before reporting on something so serious!Donald Trump tells UN General Assembly "war will follow" after his decision to re-impose sanctions on Iran, who he accuses of "slaughter in Syria and Yemen" http://bbc.in/2DvJ2qb
Oh, wait, their "correction" in response to a Tweet from someone who thought it was in very bad taste to declare war at the UN:
#ourbad? We've issued a clarification: @realDonaldTrump's actual words appear to be "more will follow". #ourbad
#OURBAD?!
I guess we can go ahead and put the BBC up there with the likes of Alex Jones now.

The full text of the Rod Rosenstein exit statement, drafted by Justice Department spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores in the voice of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and sent to the White House Monday morning, has been reviewed by Axios.
Its veracity has been confirmed by three sources close to the White House with direct knowledge.
Rod Rosenstein has served the Department of Justice with dedication and skill for 28 years. His contributions are many and significant. We all appreciate his service and sincerely wish him well.
Matt Whitaker, my Chief of Staff for the last year, will instill confidence and uphold the integrity of the Department as the second highest law enforcement officer in the Nation.
Finally, I am confident that Noel Francisco will oversee the special counsel with a commitment to justice as Acting Attorney General for this matter. As I have said before, the American people deserve an expeditious resolution of this investigation consistent with the rule of law.
Tomorrow could be the day. Trumps got a solo press conference planned.
