I think he's already got his marching orders from the Democrat politicians who rushed to judgement when the "attack" was first reported. That is they are now in a "wait and see" position.

Trump is either directly involved, knew about it and did nothing to stop it, or grossly incompetent as a leader. Given how much is known about how involved and hands on he is in his projects I'm highly skeptical he didn't know all these top level people working for him were also working closely with Russians. He's also shown that he himself lies every chance he gets in regards to his own business dealings with the Russians.
