Its also an average for the state. You have a huge state where it has much cheaper areas in it, places like Malibu, LA, SJ, and SF probably drastically raise that average.

Believe it or not, there's more to California than just SF and other unaffordable liberal shithole cities.

The problem is really not all that difficult to solve, high speed rail does play a part in the solution. The main issue standing in the way of the solution is the federal government itself.

We are faced with similar issues they faced when the Americans expanded into the west but on a smaller scale (perhaps this is still a part of that western expansion?). Interestingly enough part of the solution then was the gifting of land equal in the size of California and most of Montana to the private railroads who then went on to change industry around the world. Part of the result of gifting that land was the creation of small to middle sized "railroad" towns that originally were camps that were set up for the rail workers.

If the federal government would simply take the same steps it took then it would lead this country into another booming century, but trees and shit.

I am not a huge coffee drinker so I am not a reliable source on if it tastes good or not sorry (I drink soda). I have friends that seem to think it is good coffee and since it doesn't support Starcucks they see that as a plus.

I get Dunkin Donuts coffee whole bean and make my own coffee at home. I just had friends come home from Columbia and they brought a whole bag of real coffee from there that is amazing.

Starcucks is expensive and not all that great. I imagine that you pay more than a buck for a cup at Starcucks and it should not take you an ounce per cup. So cheaper than them and likely better. I would definitely imagine that direct from the source is WAY better too.
