You think they would have somehow managed to pull up their big girl panties and gotten on with their lives?

How little you know about today's liberal snowflakes.

We had the "Never Trumps" which wasn't insignificant. We also had the "Never Hillarys". With Kasich there wouldn't have been a "Never Trump" deal going on. I think he would have stolen a lot of votes from Hillary's side.

I firmly believe both parties put up their weakest candidates. I'm pretty sure Bernie Sanders would have won vs Trump (but not anyone else).

    We'll never know though.

There's been a lot of anti-establishment anger boiling up over the last decade or so against both Republicans and Democrats. Trump was obviously an outsider, and benefited from that. Centrists or Never Hillarys would probably have voted for Kasich in greater numbers, but people who were genuinely pissed off at the government might just see him as another brick in the wall.

And I think he would have been. He would have been the safe bet.

That's what I'm saying. Clinton was the ultimate establishment candidate though, and I think if it was a normal election she would have steamrolled him.
