Washington CNN — President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have both accepted an invitation from CNN to debate on June 27, a historically early showdown that will set the tone for the final months of the 2024 campaign.

Later Wednesday morning, both men said they had accepted an invitation from ABC to hold a second debate on September 10.

According to a news release from CNN, the debate will be held in the network’s Atlanta studios with no audience present – an anomaly in debates between presidential candidates.

Missing from the above linked article is the important detail that microphones will be cut off when it is not the candidate's turn to speak. If you remember from 2020, Trump kept interrupting when it was not his turn.
