That's what they said about horse racing and boxing. Everything that has a beginning has an end.If you ignore the mob as a business owner, you are a fool. Remember what happened to CEO Antoinette.Quote:
You missed the point in my statement that said on the level of the Washington redskins. They're one of the great franchises of the nfl. Those teams you mentioned are dogshit teams. With the redskins winning legacy and the fact that they're one of the most profitable teams in sports, you cannot blame the owner for not wanting to change the name.
I'm looking at this from a business stand point. Feelings and emotions aren't involved. Pure logic and reasoning baby.
You're missing the deeper meaning. Minorities are telling a white person what to do, and certain people can't handle that. Same story with the euphemistic treadmill, push 1 for English, etc. It's not a racism thing, it's a power thing. The easiest way to get someone to tighten their grip is tug on what they're holding.Quote:
I don't understand how people allow themselves to be offended, but I am aware that it happens.
Bro, really?Quote:

We could, I suppose, get into a long discussion of how many or what percentage of people need to be offended before a remark is defined as a slur. However the DC football team has had its name for a long time, and I find it somewhat unconvincing that the name is now a major problem. Having said that, it is obviously not my opinion that should decide the issue.
If the team needs to change its name, then I propose that the cost of the change be divided throughout every team in the NFL, and each team can figure out how to come up with the funds.
