My wife made the decision to save the life of a neighborhood cat at the expense of her bumper by cleverly driving into a ditch at 6 a.m.
Thank goodness, though- a new cat from the pound would have cost me like 200 bucks whereas damage to a car I owe money on is just fine. Wait, the opposite of that.
Anyway, it's a good thing her car is so tiny- the damp of the morning made it difficult to get her tires moving on the cinder blocks and boards I had in the shed, so I mostly had to wrestle the fucker out of the ditch with adrenaline. It's a good thing I have an appointment to check my back for a problem with one of my discs on the 6th, because if I didn't have a hernia before I probably have one now.
Hurray for people who let their cats wander the neighborhood.
