sorry dude, but this is a bad take. police should not be armed like they are in a warzone. militarizing our police force is a huge issue in this country and isn't something that benefits anyone other than the ruling class. there are solutions here i'm sure but giving cops more power isn't one.

also, lol at thinking qualified immunity is a good thing but we won't get into that.

The past 5 years it's been "Defund the Police! The cops are racists! Burn the shit to the ground!"

Nobody in their right mind wants to be a police officer anymore. Until the alt-left stops praising the likes of George Floyd and vilifying cops because a lifetime criminal died while resisting arrest, this shit is only going to get worse.

yes, the problem in this country is a more critical eye on police, not a huge street gang with unchecked power, backed by capital and the government who can do and get away with anything they want.
