Starting the day off with Turbonegro - Ass Cobra. Specifically the track 'Denim Demon'. Yes.
Love that album, but I thought Apocalypse Dudes was better. Starting with The Age of Pamparius? Fucking amazing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QheUzGqZDtg
Then again, The Suicide File stands atop them all. Perhaps not for longevity, but Twilight is outrageous. Seeing them in Philly was one of the greatest shows I've ever been to.
Whoa, you just got even more awesome.
Agreed, Apocalypse Dudes is a a killer album. Although I kinda stopped paying attention after stupid MTV skateboarder dudes overexposed them.
I never saw them live, but heard stories about how dirty, wasted and amazing they were. Good band.

Peggy Gordon. Fucking love this song, although Nick Cave can suck a dick for not putting Sam Stoat's rendition on the soundtrack of "The Proposition."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0UUxtqMPkI
No worries. If you want to hear Sam Stoat's brief version (which I like the best), it's here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgHxIWbLiBI
Just be aware that it's the movie clip, and in this scene they juxtapose the beauty of the song with a man being lashed. So...fair warning.
edit: Also, if you haven't seen "The Proposition," it's really a great movie.

Interesting song, WB.
The Chiddy Bang producer, Xaphoon Jones, is a beast. I think they have a chance to be awesome but they often end up odd.
I love his Kanye/Radiohead mashup.

Sevendust ~ Crucified
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUMfUJc4dtE
I said interesting, not because I liked it. I didn't hate it...but WTF.
The second song was better.
Yeah. I wouldn't classify it in the good category (I would his Testify remix). It did cause a group of people gathered around gaming yesterday to get into a debate when it came up on a friend's Pandora though, so I hunted down what it was.
There's a whole sort of hipster "Doing it because sped up samples is not cool" vibe.
Yeah, I liked that much more. And through the power of YouTube, I've listened to a few more of his remixes. The Bob Marley/MGMT remix appealed to me in that it was rough in parts, unabashedly so. Which made me like it more than something that was studio streamlined.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xR9ZFL1okUg
Yeah. Saw him spin and his partner rap a bit back and it was great. They just haven't seem to quite get it together recorded though. That Rebel track, as questionable as it was, definitely inspired talking, though the main trend was "WTF are they doing?"

Your musical opinion means less than nothing.
Here. This is for you.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsmk-mhlSfM
Considering your opinion on just about everything I am feeling more sorry for you than offended. Hey, ya know, keep trying harder and maybe one day you will be special or cool or “one of the in crowd” whomever they may be.
If you are going for “Asshole of the Year”*award I would vote you first in a heartbeat.
Fortunately the goal of life is not to impress you, Back. However, if it were to surpass you in every conceivable beneficial way, I'd declare myself the winner. Hell, everyone would be winning.
Humility- What is Back bad at?
Answer: life. Fuck off, you trollish, balding bag of ass. The fact that you feel sorry for me indicates that you have no concept of ambition beyond what your small mind can grasp as necessary to continue stuffing your face and being lonely.
Rock on, Back. You truly are the definition of pathetic.
Let it all out, man. Be free of your baggage.
For some reason you need to trash people. And I am not just talking about me but many others here on this board. I come here for a laugh or two. You, and other insecure others, however, come here to feel better about themselves without having to face anyone. Call me what you want but I call you an empty coward.
I’ll have you know that both of my grandfathers have full heads of hair. My rug is legit. Sorry for you that the lawn is sparse.
Maybe you could stop savaging Back and TALK ABOUT THE SHIT I SAY TO YOU. Reggie Watts, etc.
Back, you always lose these man. You gotta start arguments with other people--there are obvious idiots around here.
Back, I have more security in the head of my dick than you have in your entire body. And it is precisely because there are people like you that I'm so secure.
I will happily meet you in person. And I will happily say all this and more directly to your face. You seem like an INCREDIBLY imposing person, but I think I'll manage.
Yes, he is hysterical, and oftentimes totally off the wall. I hadn't heard anything about him getting a show, but the stuff he's done on Conan was solid.
Le Poisson Rouge and the Bell House are places he plays a lot, yeah. Glad you were able to see him live. I've never found the time.
Obviously you have something to prove. You have proven it.
I had to go to a meeting. You guys wrapped it up alright I guess. I give Back some credit for taking beatings like this about once a week--it's entertaining as hell.

I dunno. I'd say Nixon had more accomplishments during his Presidency than Carter did. One of those was a permanent diminishing of respect for the office, however.

You would never break the chain

And if you don't love me now

You will never love me again
I can still hear you sayin'
(Still hear you sayin')
You would never break the chain
(Never break the chain)
Listen to the wind blow
Down comes the night
Run in the shadows
Damn your love, damn your lies
Break the silence
Damn the dark, damn the light
And if you don't love me now
You will never love me again
I can still hear you sayin'
You would never break the chain
(Never break the chain)
And if you don't love me now
(You don't love me now)

Don't Close Your Eyes~http://youtu.be/pBp3HzWzNus
I know you loved him
A long time ago
Even now in my arms
You still want him I know
But darling this time
Let your memories die
When you hold me tonight
Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Let it be me
Don't pretend it's him
In some fantasy
Darling just once
Let yesterday go
You'll find more love
Than you've ever known
Just hold me tight
When you love me tonight
And don't close your eyes
Maybe I've been a fool
Holding on all this time
Lyin' here in your arms
Knowing he's in your mind
But I keep hoping some day
That you'll see the light
Let it be me tonight
Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Let it be me
Don't pretend it's him
In some fantasy
Darling just once
Let yesterday go
You'll find more love
Than you've ever known
Just hold me tight
When you love me tonight
And don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
Let it be me
Don't pretend it's him
In some fantasy
Darling just once
Let yesterday go
You'll find more love
than you've ever known
Just hold me tight
When you love me tonight
And don't close your eyes
Just hold me tight
When you love me tonight
And don't close your eyes
