They do ask. Especially pediatricians. They ask about hazards that could lead to in home accidents. They can also provide some tips on gun safety with kids in the house, locks to buy, storage etc... the same way they tell parents to put harsh chemicals out of reach and protect the pool area etc...Quote:

We can tighten up on ownership though. Background checks are a hot button issue for no reason. Some people are already restricted from gun ownership but in states like Florida they just buy a gun out of the newspaper. No tracking, checking nothing. A couple hundred bucks and you get a gun.
