Yeah, that didn't work. Then they said that they would look into it and call me back in 45 minutes. Yeah...so 1.5 hours later...I'm calling again and back on hold. This is not how I want to spend my Saturday.

Better Business Bureau. Fuck their shit up. That is some crap ass service and product.
I would suggest going into your local Borders and talking to a manager. I did that the last time I had trouble with Best Buy's "customer service" in India, and she (the manager) got it straightened out immediately over the phone. I mean I dunno how it works at Borders, but i'd think it couldn't be worse than what you're dealing with now.
working an off-site party... my work day was 7am-2am :(
I hate how the managers bail at the tail end (clean up and break down) so it takes about 3x longer than it should.
It's 130 am now, I'm done working at 6am. It's supposed to be 15 below then....plus windchill. Mornings like these I wonder why the hell I ever moved to this state.
