Other people breaking the law doesn't somehow negate you breaking the law as well. That part of your story should be "I was speeding and got pulled over" and shouldn't be included in a list of "bad things that just happened to me today."

I got 70 in a 65 before. The judge certainly didn't "laugh at that shit and dismiss it".

That's crazy. From my own experience in South Florida, no one would ever pull you over for going 10 miles or less over the limit. In fact, in a lot of places here, if you're going the limit, you're causing a safety hazard. It's pretty scary.

When I hear how other places handle people going somethin like 5 over, it almost makes me never want to drive outside of Florida.

It was in Northern California by the CHP on the I-5. Usually in SoCal they'd ride your ass if you were only going 15 over.
