Trump is already inventing an excuse to back out of the debates with Biden.

After vowing in 2020 never to set foot in Minnesota again, Trump went there Friday evening and said he would demand that Biden take a drug test before the debate. Trump's point was that nobody could give a State of the Union Address as good as Biden's address earlier this year without the assistance of performance enhancing drugs.

Remember a different kind of test for the last debates? In 2020, the Commission on Presidential Debates rules required each candidate to test negative for COVID on the day of the debate. Trump lied and said he had tested negative. In fact, he had not taken a test, and if he had it would not have been negative. Then after Trump was hospitalized with COVID and appeared to recover, the Commission announced that the next debate would have to be virtual, instead of in person. Trump angrily backed out and refused to participate because it would not be held in person with a live audience.

Trump dropped 5 points in the polls after the first debate in 2020 and never recovered.

Does this surprise you? He got absolutely WOMPED by Biden in the debates in 2020 and lost handily as a result. His speeches this year have been riddled with incomprehensible slurring, eye drooping, feet dragging, and just the other day nearly falling over when he was unable to keep himself upright. Not to mention being unable to stay awake during the day. Trump will need to lower expectations to a point where showing up, no matter the dumpster fire of his performance, will be a technical win.

According to who? Which polls? What was their polling method? Was their sample reflective of the population?

Now that Georgia has gotten rid of loads ofdrop boxes and the fact that large numbers of votes have been determined to be illegal for a few different reasons, AND the majority of people in Georgia are embarrassed as FUCK by Fani Willis and her sexploits as well as the sham trial, I sure hope you aren't counting on Georgia.

This is correct.

They had the coin flip for the debate next week. The winner of the coin flip got to pick between choosing (a) which side of the stage to be on or (b) whether to go first or last at the end of the debate.

Biden won the coin toss. He used the win to choose which side of the stage to be on. Biden choose the right side of the teevee screen.

Trump then got to choose who would go last in the closing remarks at the end of the debate. Trump chose to go last.

Getting to go last seems more important to me than which side of the screen the candidate is on. Why did Biden place more importance on the side of the stage he would occupy?
