Sorry about your dog.

I can understand that want and desire to do the deed oneself instead of someone else. To know that it was done by someone who loved and cared about him instead of some stranger or someone without that same depth of feeling, and to know you were the last thing he saw instead of someone else.

I am really sorry about your dog. My wife turned me into a cat person long ago, and we recently lost two cats who were part of the family for over 15 years. Both of them had to be put down (sigh), one due to cancer and one due to diabetes. It is sad going through the process - all I can offer is that you remember the good times your dog gave you over the years.

Just found out my step mom's cancer has returned for the third time. She had a double mastectomy the last recurrence.

That's awful.

We have a friend in her early 30's that was just diagnosed last week with stage 3. She's a teacher, going through a divorce and has 2 young daughters. Her husband is a piece of shit and isn't willing to help her at all. We're taking care of her 2 kid after school when she goes through chemo. So sad.

Sorry to hear. From what i've been told she's stage 4. The doctor told her 10 years isn't out of the question. They're looking into DNA testing for my half-sister. Shitty day.
