She broke into the Capitol, where armed officers were there, they have every right to use deadly force. It doesn’t matter if she deserved to die or not. When you do something illegal, you face the consequences whatever they may be, she happened to pay with her life.
If you wish to bring of BLM protest, if the BLM protestors broke into a government building, guess what? If they got killed for it, that’s their fault.
Your argument about the right to shoot people is simply incorrect and demonstrates a complete lack of understanding and knowledge of firearm and home defense laws. Just because people break in is not legal justification to shoot them in any court in the country, not even the castle doctrine states have this so you are making a specious argument. Simply put, in order to justify shooting in self defense, you must prove that your or another's life is in danger. Colloquially, you must reasonably fear for your life. That means if someone breaks in and does nothing and does not approach you with a weapon, does not approach you in a threatening manner and does not attack you, then you can't shoot them. Castle doctrine means you don't have an obligation to back down from an attacker and flee if at all possible so it doesn't apply here.Quote:

There is a split amongst the states as to whether or not deadly force can be used. The majority of states hold that any degree of physical force, including deadly force, can be used by the occupant to protect against an invader. But there is a strong minority of states, including West Virginia, that requires a reasonable belief that the intruder intended to inflict serious bodily injury.
So yeah, you can shoot someone and kill them if they break into your house.. in the majority of states.

1. A mob marched on and stormed the Capitol building.
2. They illegally entered the area that was being protected by barricades and police officers.
2. They destroyed barricades, and broke windows to enter an area they weren’t allowed to be at, at that time.
3. They assaulted armed officers in this process.
4. They looted and destroyed things in the Capitol building. The national guard was called.
It’s sad that she died, I wish she didn’t. But what she did was illegal and a possible consequence of her actions was dying.
