I wouldn't go that far. I live in a good neighborhood and I know they don't prohibit people from renting their homes here.

I've tended to have a better time with renting than homeowner's associations. There's nice communities all over the South that allow people to rent.

Have you talked to your therapist about your fear of baked goods, suburban prejudices and and delusions that nice city building people are more interesting?

I know a none too bright girl who got hooked on heroin, she turned away from all her friends because they "weren't interesting." That's the last time I heard someone classify an entire segment of the population as not interesting.

I was mostly talking about the people who like to use those potential costs as a reason for not owning. I respect your ambition as well as your ability to take care of that stuff yourself.
