I believe Trump when he says it was bravado. I really believe him. It's going to be too bad in his upcoming trial. The prosecution will play the tape for the jury. The only way for Trump to show that he was lying to reporters on the recording will be to testify to that fact or to have the unnamed assistant testify that it was a plan to deceive the reporters. I'm not sure what would be worse for Trump -- to admit lying to the reporters or to let the jury hear the tape unchallenged.
Also, do you believe Trump when he says he has not listened to the recording?
