Took me a bit to parse the ranting and raving of the far right in the last couple of posts. Seriously, you guys get a D for being so lazy trying to spin the latest positive economic news.

Surprise surprise, the baby boomer generation which was entering retirement age during the Great Recession left the jobs market and never returned. Twelve years later, following the Covid-19 epidemic which killed over a million people and caused an even greater economic decline has followed the same path.

So, civilian labor participation is at 60% according to July's reading. Y'all are reading that like it's the end of the world and I understand political expediency means you're required to. There are 10.7 job openings currently, meaning for any who are entering the job market for the first time or whom are reentering the job market there is a position available. That is a sign of steady economy that un-surprisingly the Republicans are overlooking.

Labor participation is still high on a historical level, our unemployment rate shows just why it's so low compared to the civilian participation rate, but feel free to keep crying about the baby boomers retiring!
