So basically what time4fun is saying is if only Obama took Russia seriously as our number 1 geopolitical foe instead of cozying up to him, appeasing him, and trying so hard to "Not be Bush!" then maybe we wouldn't be in the position we are in now?

Ones an illegal military occupation and the other is illegal immigration? The former is done violating sovereignty, international treaties and usually involves death and destruction. While the majority of the latter just wants jobs and a safe place to live?
