NAPLES, Florida -- Ben Carson stood by his long-held belief about ancient pyramids in Egypt, that they were used to store grain, rather than to inter pharaohs.
Asked about this Wednesday, Carson told CBS News, "It's still my belief, yes."
More... (http://www.cbsnews.com/news/ben-carsons-unusual-theory-about-pyramids/)
That makes perfect sense, and it explains a lot of things that people have never before been able to explain about the pyramids. We need a President who is not afraid to solve old mysteries.

Typical neocon Republican, so worried about the Middle East when we've got literally tons of monuments right here in America he could make up bizarre explanations for.

Can you prove the pyramids were not built to store grain?

Thought not. You fuckheads.

What were considered to be 'pharaohs' were actually grave robbers who broke in, ate all the grain, played dress up, then died when they were accidentally sealed in the tomb a la' Indiana Jones.

Everyone knows they were built in homage to our founders, the aliens. Actually we're the aliens, since they created us and we were not an original species of the planet now known as earth.

I am no expert on this subject, but the idea that some space in some of the pyramids was used to store grain seems plausible. I certainly don't accept the belief that the pyramids were not used to inter pharaohs though.

Not a supporter of the guy, but I'm not getting the big whoop on this. So the guy has biblical beliefs, this still does not take away from the fact....He's a fucking brain surgeon. I see no political points being scored here.

My take away is that he is unwilling to change his beliefs even with strong evidence to the contrary.

Yup or republicans that think Obama gon steal thar guns.

Obama has basically admitted if he had his way he would start confiscating guns, after all he did say the US should follow Australia's model when it comes to gun control.

So I guess those Republican fears were well founded. It's kind of funny when the person you spend years defending comes out and proves you wrong himself.

Where did he say we should follow Australia's model. I must have missed that one.

All I'm saying, the guy is obviously very smart, it's not like you get the education to be a brain surgeon at your local community college. As far as theories, grain storage is one of the least far fetched thoughts I have heard. I mean you have these moonbeams that think all kinds of crazy shit....grain bin is rather mild in comparison.

There's always the brilliance of Hillary. "Wipe the hard drive? what is that, where you clean it with a rag ?" That just screams intelligence from the highest mountain top.

Aww, got a neg rep from a Hillary supporter I assume.

Don't blame me your shit candidate used the ::I'm just a stupid woman:: card. Predictable, yes. Still not my fault. Perhaps rethinking who you support and using a vetting process other than "Must vote for a woman" should be a consideration?

Yea, not sure why I made that a point at the time, may have been smoking.

Does not change that the whole story is pretty fucking stupid. I'm totally waiting for the press to ask a candidate if they colored outside the lines at age 3.

Well of course the actual word "pyramids" wasn't used. The word pyramid wasn't used until like the year 1200. DUH LATRIN!

I believe she completely understands what wiping a hard drive means. Hilliary is many things, but she is not stupid. As for being truthful...well it's not like her husband was a shining example...

I've been in the biggest pyramid. For being a large structure, it's pretty tight confines inside. When I was practically crawling up a short passage to a pretty small room, the last thought on my mind was "this would be a great place to store some grain". Then again, maybe that sarcophagus was actually for storing Froot Loops.

That's the beauty of it! Store the grain where no one would think to look for it, to protect it from thieves and shit.

Come on, this is shit they teach you in first grade.

Because he's a brain surgeon doesn't give you a free pass when you say something utterly retarded from being laughed at.

He has been very liberal in stretching the truth, saying outrageous things that obviously aren't true and coming up with retarded excuses when he gets caught. Between the pyramids, why some people are gay, his scholarship into West Point, etc... he's proven himself to be a very flawed candidate.

"BUT HE BELIEVES IN TEH BIBLE" isn't a qualifier for me to vote for anyone.

One can become a brain surgeon without being forced to question a literal reading of the bible in support of creationism. One can also become a lawyer or an engineer for that matter. It's not that these professions don't require a high degree of intelligence and education but it's a matter of the kind of intelligence and the kind of education. You can build rockets all day without having been taught the "history of religions" or anthropology or any other such thing that would cause you to confront difficult questions about your religious beliefs.

Just for fun: The first two chapters of Genesis contain two different creation accounts. This is because the people who edited the Hebrew scriptures took two different stories and layered them together, an action that was obviously not problematic at the time.
