I don't see why companies are investing in China to begin with.

They keep touting what a huge market it is yet China constantly favors Chinese run firms while scrutinizing foreign firms. A lot of companies who thought they were going to make a fortune by opening up shop in China found out the hard way they didn't make anywhere near what they thought they would.

Factories and manufacturing are going to continue to be strong in China though. As Gelston says cheap labor won't put an end to that anytime soon.

I made a fortune off gold farmers. I bought farm-able mats in the hundreds of stacks at a time at bargain prices and listed them a few stacks at a time at market price. Great piece and it pretty much hits all the nails on the head. They are building a lot of new high tech weaponry but as this says China's know how is limited. Most of their home built tech is largely untested which in itself puts it at a huge disadvantage. Their ballistic missiles could prove a threat to our navy but again, no one bt the Chinese know how well their tech works.

The one thing this article doesn't mention is their cyberwarfare and anti-satellite capabilities which could be a decent threat. However even with that in mind ultimately they really don't have any allies they could count on in a war.
