I'd say my aim is pretty good, primary is a scout rifle and I get headshots for days. Party crasher+1 is a crucible drop? Don't think I've ever had it drop for me.

Why shotgun over fusion rifle? Mida tool is a blast, just wish it had full auto.

Mida + max agility hunter + radiant dance machines = MC Hammer :D

I play hunters, and fusion rifles are really only good when you can float imo. The one exception is the Queen breaker. I'll use that if I want to piss people off because it 1s1k's like black spindle does in game modes with level advantages being enabled

Nah, got a hunter here too I've been using a lot lately and I don't think that is true. Just find a fusion rifle with very high stability as that tightens the grouping of the bolts. Pulling down on the recoil also tightens it up pretty well. Another tip is to aim lower the further they are away. I get a 1s1k with a fusion like 95% of the time.

Sunbreaker, here. Nothing shuts down a Stormcaller like a hammer to the face.

I'll try that with that crazy Omolon one you can get from the gunsmith. My apprehension is probably due to me using them religiously prenerf and the updates made them awful compared to the old school power

I've only been playing since December so I am speaking from that perspective. With that being said, and no BS here, I just 1 shot a full health titan from 100 feet away with my fusion rifle.

Scorched Earth for the Sunbreaker sort of makes that extremely difficult. Especially if I aim for your feet and not you.

Probably a new Sunbreaker. The class is fucking vicious once you work out the kinks and re-level. Still love the old Striker stuff though. Nothing like jumping into a group of enemies with FoH.

No idea. Trying to level a Sunbreaker at 28 and got fucking annihilated on the mission Cahde's Stash at drop.

You're definitely at the right level as it is a level 26 mission. Only thing I can suggest is don't feel obligated to kill every single enemy. In fact I just went back to check that mission out and you can pretty much run straight to the boss fight and skip like 99% of enemies along the way. I'd help you level but i'm on the x360.

Do the missions you get from the robot at the Tower. Those are mostly easy daily exp jumps.

His name is Robert Paulson. But yeah, daily bounties are easy XP, though for leveling to 40 I've found the fastest route is to just bang the story missions out as fast as possible. By the time you beat the Regicide mission you should be around 35-36. From there get the daily bounties and do patrols on the dreadnought and/or strikes.

I've gotten 6 dudes up to 40 so far doing it this way. I play too much :/

I was level 20 before I even stepped foot on Venus. Jumping from patrols to the daily missions was pretty much how I hammered out my levels.

holy crap, how much armor can a titan have? headshot at close range with a throwing dagger and he lives and kills me with a shotgun. in the deathcam he's running around my body with the dagger buried to hilt in between his fucking eyes :lolwave:

I stopped playing a couple months after the game came out, enjoyed playing it but for me for pvp I love hardcore and my interest fizzled when I couldn't get in raids (no mmr system like for the smaller instances at the time, no idea if they changed that) did they add any new classes or new talent specs? May be intrigued to get some expansions but the raid thing with no people I play with would be a huge let down

As of now there are 3 major raids. Crota, Vault of Glass and Kingsfall. A fourth is coming out this fall. If you really want to raid then you shouldn't have trouble finding people to group with. The Taken King expansion added 3 new subclasses, one for each class and each with a full set of talent specs.

My favorite is probably the weekly pvp event Iron Banner, which is generally held once a month.

I was actually going to come back this week for it too. I'm currently on the longest break I've taken since I started in October 2014. About 3 weeks now I think. I really wish I missed it more than I do, but I honestly just don't. It makes me sad, because I love that game. Hopefully, Rise of Iron will make me excited again.

It's my favorite thing in the game so this is a bummer. It was late last month because of bugs and now this. fuckers. Excited about the RoI expansion though.

I think last IB was the first one I didn't hit rank 5 on all three characters in I don't even know how long. I think I hit rank 3 on one, spent some time working on my boyfriend's hunter, then it was over. I haven't been keeping up on the forums since my break started, so the only thing I really understand is there are some matchmaking fuck ups going on.

I haven't played since the nerf. How bad is it? I mostly run Nightstalker with Sealed Ahamkara's and smoke, vortex, quiver, and shadestep. Kinda bummed about shadestep to be honest.

The tripmine sticky grenade is no longer sticky *hiss* and the throwing knife does less damage *boo!*

On the flip side golden gun does a lot more damage but it was already a one hit kill in crucible.

Still haven't played RoI yet but I've been messing around on my warlock.. Sunsinger with sunbreaker gloves is ridiculously powerful.

So my 11 year old has really been wanting this. He's just now starting to get into FPS type games and Destiny looks to be a good starting point to that. My question however, which I think a lot of others have had as well, is how important is it to have PS Plus subscription to enjoy this game and make it worth it?

We only got a PS4 last year. Prior to that all we had was Nintendo consoles because of my sons' ages. They are now 8 and 11 though so we went ahead and got PS4 last year. But they have not yet gotten into anything that requires online gameplay and we don't yet have a PS Plus subscription. Will he be able to play a fair amount of the game before having to go online becomes necessary? While I'm OK with Destiny in and of itself, I am still not sure I want my 11 year old exposed to online play with some of the people that are sure to be playing online as well.

You can't play this without a PS+ sub, if I recall correctly.

Essentially you'd just be playing story missions, which get you up to around level 20 IIRC. By themselves that's maybe 4-5 hours of content (base game, I don't know how much RoI adds).

I'm not 100% sure but I think you still see/interact with players in the Tower and during story missions, so if you want to completely shield them from online interactions Destiny probably isn't the game for them. Strikes, raids, PvP, anything having to do with groups are going to be off limits though and that's the vast majority of the game.

I'll still hit up the Crucible a few times a week just to raise my blood pressure and stress levels. Other than aiming for a heart attack, complete mental breakdown, or stress induced coma it's relatively pointless in Destiny still as it has no ladder system.

Only time I ever messed with the crucible was when Iron Banner rolled around.
