(FLINT, MI) — A Michigan mother, father and grandmother have all been arrested and charged with child abuse after recording a video spanking an 11-year-old boy with a belt more than 60 times, Power 107.5 reports.

The reason behind this? According to the adults in the video, the boy posted on Facebook that he was a gangster. He also reportedly had bad grades and was taking phones to school that weren’t allowed.

A six-minute video showed the adults verbally attacking the child, the mother slapping the child in the face and a the grandmother spanking so hard that the boy’s legs were buckling. This all happened while the father took video.

The video was shared more than 9,000 times before being removed from the child’s Facebook page. The mother even states in the video that she didn’t care what anybody thought, and she dared viewers to call Social Services.

But someone did call authorities. The adults in the video — identified as father Stefon Tirrell Felton, 39, mother Demitria Latrion Powell, 28, and grandmother Uteas Michelle Taylor, 42 — have all been arrested and charged with child abuse.

The boy and his siblings are now in protective custody.

I think if a child acts out in public, you should correct them there (or anywhere) immediately though all your available options up to and including a spanking - just you'd most likely withdraw the child from the public setting first before administering the corporal punishment (and I don't mean abuse - I'm mean spanking). 1. You don't have the video to watch in it's entirety so you have no clue what happened.
2. You have no gauge to measure the force of the blows or the actual physical result of the blows.
3. The child has baggy jeans on which very much protect the little darlings ass from real abuse.
4. You have no physical examination afterwards to judge physical harm done.
5. Reporters in this case surely can't be doing any sensationalistic reporting, selective framing and/or crafting the word choices used specifically to incite your ignorant anger, could they?
