The exact probability is 85% of a government shutdown at midnight on Monday night. Since a shutdown is almost certain, I'm going to list the primary consequences below in three easy to remember points.

Almost all part of the government will stop operating, and federal employees and veterans will no longer be paid.

Member of Congress will continue to get paid during the shutdown because the Constitution says members of Congress are entitled to a salary.

Obamacare will not shut down. It will open as scheduled on Tuesday, October 1, because it is not funded as part of the budget.

The heroes in this fight are House Republicans, who are not afraid to stand up to anybody and everybody in their effort to stop Obamacare.

The above is about all you need to know, unless you were planning to visit a park or the Capitol or something, or unless you live in the disaster areas in Colorado.
