O_o @ bestiality for Washington State ... and Nerdiest for Ohio (is that a bad thing now?) ... dumbest @ Maine (it is not DC?).

Welp, you clearly do not want to be in Louisana ... gonorrhea.

For Michigan, unemployment ... unsurprising.

So what state is the best at bestiality?

Also, lol @ weakest government influence being bad.

I dunno, "Worst Drivers", "Nerdiest", and "anti-social" seem subjective.
I'd also wonder how their bestiality statistics are gathered, and if it's just a matter of it being enforced more in Washington, but more commonplace and not enforced in say... Missouri.
And "Poorest Health" isn't the place with the most gonorrhea, heart attacks, or cancer?

I have never heard of a large gonorrhea deal down here in Louisiana. More research soon.

:( In 2011, gonorrhea rates per 100,000 population ranged by state from 7.7 in Vermont to 202.3 in Louisiana. During 2010–2011, 61% (31/51) of states, plus the District of Columbia, reported an increase in gonorrhea rates.

I'm surprised Alabama, Mississippi, or Arkansas isn't the dumbest. They are the worst 3 in the nation as far as Education.

Why is Minnesota tornadoes? I can think of a few worse places for them. Alabama has had more F5s then any other state, and Oklahoma has more total tornadoes than any other state.

Worst air quality in Cali doesn't surprise me, we have the most cars, not to mention it doesn't rain all summer long.

Anyone else find it funny that Utah has the most porn? Considering it has a heavy Mormon population?

That is exactly why I think it has the most porn.

Duh, cause it's *worst* in tornadoes, not best!

I went and read state by state at the bottom. Most online porn subscriptions. Yep, what the temple doesn't know won't hurt you I guess. Probably because you don't want anyone seeing you go into Goldie's (local porn palace) to buy your kinky sex tapes.

Man, avoid Mississippi.

Haha, avoid the fat people. Rape, violence on women, drunk driving, and fatal car accidents is okay!

I think I'm going to go hunt for a chick up in Oklahoma though.

How is Florida not the oldest state? It seems like very other resident is an 87 yr old retiree

I don't get how a state can be the worst at abortion. Is Delaware not aborting enough fetuses? Should they be forcing women to get pregnant in order to abort more?

Well, it is #1 in Identity theft, which is a decent indication that it is at least close.

I imagine it means most abortions per capita. Altough this puts them at #3 behind DC and New York. http://www.statemaster.com/graph/hea_abo_rat-health-abortion-rate

Oh i was talking about this:

BONUS facts: Mississippi ranks poorly in the most number of categories. These include highest rate of child poverty (31.9%), highest rate of infant mortality (10.3%) lowest median household income ($35,078), highest teen birth rate (71.9 per 1,000 women aged 15 to 19) and highest overall rate of STDs.

In otherwords, Mississippi is really screwed up. I wasn't talking about the fat thing.

I obviously understood what it was insinuating.

I think it is because it is per capita. Identity theft first thing I thought of is yeah all the old people living there. There are more people in Florida so it probably means less individuals per capita over the age of 85.

Oh, I see why they put Minnesota as the worst in Tornadoes. They had the most in 2010.... Take a 50 year look at it and then laugh at Minnesota.

I'd also like to point out that while new Hampshire is bad for corporations tax-wise, over all its one of the best Tax states in the country, and far better then the other northeastern states excepting Pennsylvania. Zero state or local sales tax and almost no excises taxes make it a great place to live, tax-wise.

I really don't know what to make of this chart. Some of it seems to be in jest, but I guess there's evidence supporting the claims...I know where I'm not going on vacation, though...

For what it's worth, I can testify that the Identity Theft thing for Florida is spot-on. My mom's a criminal intelligence analyst for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, identity theft and prescription drug "pill mills" make up 95% of her case load. Although the latter has dropped significantly over the last year or two, the former is on the rise.

It is very shaky, cherry-picked evidence on quite a few of them. Like yeah, one year in the 2000s this state was this, but it isn't anymore.
