Hey Clyder, why haven't you started a thread about what's going on in Egypt? There are so many juicy things to talk about. Like how it was a coup but not really a coup apparently, how the military was just "restoring Democracy".

Domestic politics is more interesting. I haven't paid attention to Egypt since Moses freed the Israelites from Yul Brynner.

I've heard conflicting reports from those on the ground in Egypt. The media here in CA has told us approximately 60 dead and hundreds wounded as of this morning. But the people actually in Egypt on the Muslim Brotherhood side are claiming 2000 Dead, 10000 wounded. And then of course, the Anti-Morsi/MB groups have said there is a few hundred dead and thousands wounded. Who Fucking Knows?

If there's one thing to be learned from all these protests, it's that white people suck at protesting. All they do is sit around in their dirty hippie clothes looking stupid and shitting in the streets/on cars, all while not even knowing what it is they're protesting.

Or they just click the LIKE/SHARE button and call it a day.

We have a pretty sweet deal with Cairo. We send them billions in aid so they can buy weapons from us. Anyone else uncomfortable with that?

Basically our tax dollars are being funneled into the defense industry. And what that means is being funneled into the pockets of the individuals who own those privately owned companies.

The defense industry is getting our tax dollars and there is nothing we can do about it. Obama won't change it, democrats won't change it, republicans sure as hell won't change it. It's a big club and we aren't in it. They are going to get our money. End of story.
