When Rick Perry, longest serving governor in Texas history, announced that he would not seek reelection, I took it as good news. With all that free time, he will be able to mount a serious run for the presidency in 2016.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry said Thursday that he will visit Israel in October, a move that signals to the political world that he is seriously considering making another presidential run in 2016.

“We will be going to Israel to bring together Arabs, Christian and Jews in an educational forum,” Mr. Perry told The Washington Times in an interview just three days after he announced he would not seek an unprecedented fourth term as Texas governor.

After he solves Israel's problems, nobody will be able to stop him.

He's hot, then he's cold. He's yes, then he's no. He's in, then he's out. He's up, then he's down. He... he don't really want to stay, no. He- but, he don't really want to go... oh!

Also, while I would like to applaud fmr. Gov. Perry's staff for recognizing that Israel's conflict is with (some) Arabs rather than (some) Muslims, their choice to use "Christian [sic] and Jews" makes me think they don't know the difference.

Come on L. Give him some credit. He knows the difference. It's just that he often fails to remember one of the items in groups of three. At least he didn't pause and go blank this time.

His expectations would be so low for a 2nd run at the whitehouse...I say that's a smart move. He can go in as an underdog and at least try to redeem his image of stupidity.
