View Full Version : Most Democrats Still Doubt WMDs

Fortunately 2/3rds of Republicans are well enough informed to believe that Iraq had WMDs.
A new poll conducted by Dartmouth government professor Benjamin Valentino found that 63 percent of Republican respondents still believe that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction when the United States invaded in 2003, even though this assertion has been thoroughly debunked by journalists and denied by the Bush administration.
Only 27 percent of independents and less than 15 percent of Democrats still believe in the false 2003 claim of WMDs in Iraq.
Addiitonally, 64 percent of Republican respondents said that they believe President Obama was born in another country, which would qualify them as "birthers."

Meanwhile over 50% of Democrats think the federal government assisted (http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0411/More_than_half_of_Democrats_believed_Bush_knew.htm l) in the 9/11 attacks or took no action to stop the attacks because they wanted to go to war with the Middle East.
This just in: people are stupid.

Half of that is half true.

There are billions of people that believe in an invisible dude in the sky. What's your point?
To the point... its because Republican leadership counts on the ignorance of the masses of their constituents. They keep them afraid with falsehoods about how their freedoms are being taken away by the boogeyman socialist left in Hollywood. About how the mainstream media is distorting the truth against them. About how the rich should get all the breaks because they are the great benevolent benefactors of society. About how anyone not living by the scripture is the Devil's hand. All to keep getting their blinded votes, money, allegiance, and support so they can stay in power and keep enjoying their place at the top.

Just like the Democrats do with their base, both parts are one and the same.

The difference between republican constituents and democratic constituents is that the democratic constituents know when they are being fed a bunch of bull but go along with it anyway.

lulzwut?
So, you really know that man isn't the driving force behind global warming, but you still go along with it? You know that entitlement programs are simply gigantic ponzi schemes, but you continue to defend them out of blind loyalty? You realize the economic theory of "bottom up" is the most retarded thing ever conceived.. but still promote it as a "successful" economic theory?
One thing is certain. Wealth does not "trickle down".
Environment is science, not politics.
Entitlement programs and Ponzi schemes are two entirely different things and you know it.
I've never heard of a "bottom up" theory. Please enlighten us.

Really?!?
At least we never had a president say something as retarded as:
"I'll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years."
--Lyndon B. Johnson to two governors on Air Force One
Cited in Ronald Kessler's Book, "Inside The White House"
If there was ever a political group supported by ignorance, fear and economic enslavement of it's base, it's the DNC. Pure genius to take the banner of civil rights and turn it into economic enslavement and make the slaves love them for it with help from the slave leadership and a few bribes. I would say quit being retarded but we know that is simply beyond your limited faculty.

So much so that economists have predicted 16 of the last 3 recessions.
Entitlement programs and Ponzi schemes are two entirely different things and you know it.
While in theory they should be, in current practice, they are not. Nice try.

Of course not, how would you hear anything with your head firmly implanted in your orrifice like that?

Are you speaking from a position of owning actual slaves or the virtual kind?

True. Not all entitlement programs are ponzi schemes.. social security though is. Welfare isn't... it's just a handout program.
I've never heard of a "bottom up" theory. Please enlighten us.
It's the opposite of trickle down economics where the theory is.. if you 'empower' the people in poverty by some special pixie dust, they will make something out of themselves.
Incorrect.
That you think "trickle down" is an actual theory says it all.

That you think "trickle down" is an actual theory says it all.
I hired a guy who had been unemployed for almost 6 months. He now has a stable job. He played a role in $20,000 gross revenue for my company and made $1,200 doing it.
It's an example of trickle down economics.
Unless you believe he is better off sitting at home and depending on entitlement programs for a living...
Right. You spend $1200 to make $20,000. Don't act like you are doing anyone a favor other than yourself.
In fact, that you even think like that is the entire fucking problem with giving the rich tax breaks.
You would not be in the position you are if it weren't for people who took the shitty job you pay shit for.

Gross revenue doesn't equal "making $20,000. I would explain the difference, but we both know you wouldn't understand.
And I'm not in the business to do people 'favors' other than myself. I pay people to do a job... it's that simple.
In fact, that you even think like that is the entire fucking problem with giving the rich tax breaks.
I know.. give those evil rich people tax breaks and they will hire more people and grow their companies.. it's fucking madness!
You would not be in the position you are if it weren't for people who took the shitty job you pay shit for.
$1,200 a week is shitty pay for a manual labor job? Really? He will make over $80,000 this year.. not including bonuses, benefits or vacation pay.
You are right though.. blowing insulation in attics is a shitty job.
