I'm not offended by the cover as much as the concept, particularly since 3 years is too old for breastfeeding to still be continuing...

That kid is gonna grow up with mommy attachment issues... and do poorly in the emotional independence department.

Dr. Sears is a fucking quack and I think attachment parenting is stupid as shit. Breastfeeding is fine but the extended breastfeeding really squicks me out. Once your kid is asking you if he may please have your boob, he's too old to get it.

I was honestly a little relieved when my milk production sucked (lol) but I still felt a lot of guilt over using a bottle so much like it was some kind of parenting failure. But then I got over it.

3 year olds though? Seems extreme to me but maybe I am just being a prude. I don't know.

I think that's the point of "attachment parenting" though...that kind of deprivation supposedly causes childhood depression. Or something like that.
